Job Summary

Solar Rising is hiring a Business Development Representative to generate new

residential and commercial solar opportunities. This role focuses on proactive

outreach, relationship building, and lead generation. It is not a commission-only or

closing position. You will work closely with our internal sales team, who handle

system design, proposals, and contract closing.

Duties

• Generate new residential and commercial solar leads through field outreach

and community engagement

• Conduct neighborhood and business outreach to identify qualified

opportunities

• Develop relationships with clients by understanding their energy needs and

presenting tailored solar solutions

• Build relationships with builders, electricians, property managers, and

business owners

• Collaborate with marketing teams to implement strategies that generate

qualified leads

• Qualify inbound inquiries and convert them into sales opportunities

• Maintain a thorough knowledge of industry trends, competitors, and

product offerings to effectively position our services

• Support business development initiatives by participating in outreach

campaigns and networking events

• Represent the company professionally in the field

Requirements

• Experience in sales, business development, or home services helpful but not

required

• Strong negotiation skills with the ability to close deals effectively

• Local knowledge of Cape Cod preferred

• CRM experience a plus

• Demonstrated success in outbound calling, warm calling, telemarketing, or

marketing campaigns

• Ability to develop business relationships through effective customer service

and consultative selling techniques

• Familiarity with business development strategies and lead generation

methods

• Self-motivated with a proactive approach to reaching sales targets


Compensation & Benefits

• Base salary range: $55,000–$65,000 (full-time equivalent), depending on

experience

• Performance incentives based on qualified leads and installed projects

• Typical on-target earnings: $75,000–$95,000+ (full-time equivalent)

• Full-time preferred

• Open to part-time or alternative arrangements for the right candidate

• Field-based with office support in Mashpee, MA
